Families who work together share a bond that only comes through shared focus. At Santiam Christian we ask that every enrolled family share our focus and invest their effort, through our service hour requirement. That makes our Eagle Family stronger and keeps our costs lower. We’re blessed that many families invest well above the 30 hour requirement, but 30 hours is all we ask for.

Working side by side builds bonds between parents and helps students to feel comfort in working alongside adults, as well. It is a win – win – win. Families benefit through relationships. Students benefit through adult interaction and experience. Santiam Christian School benefits by keeping the costs associated with staffing lower and the overall enrichment of our Eagle Family spirit.

Eagle Development Event Opportunities

Within the required 30 Family Service Hours, we do require that families participate in a minimum of 5 Eagle Development Hours. These events and programs listed below are designated for those 5 hours specifically and take place throughout the school year. Sign up links will be emailed out to families directly in the weeks prior to the event.

Family Service Hour Opportunities

• Email your child’s teacher to ask about classroom help that can be done on campus or at home.

• Check the Eagle Happenings each week for opportunities around the school for different events, programs, classes or sports.

• Groundskeeping - If you enjoy mowing, string trimming, raking, leaf blowing, etc and would like to help with keeping our campus beautiful, email Steve Jagich in the development office to organize a time to help with our facilities team.

• Use your skills and talents! - From time to time our facilities and maintenance team may need some help with small jobs around campus like, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish work, painting, interior design, flooring, etc. If you are skilled in any of these areas and would like to help with projects that come up throughout the year, email Steve Jagich in the development office.

• Athletic Events (Ticket Booth, Clock Operator, Set up, Clean Up, etc) - These opportunities will be emailed out as they come up based on the sports schedules.
