Dear Prospective Superintendent Candidate,
Thank you for your interest in the position of Superintendent of Santiam Christian Schools. It is my hope that this Opportunity Profile will help give you a sense of who we are as an organization, and will describe the key qualities and characteristics we are seeking in our next leader.
Since its inception in 1979, Santiam Christian has experienced tremendous growth and has developed an excellent Christ-centered educational program that has positively impacted the lives of thousands of students and their families. Santiam Christian remains faithful to its mission statement: The primary purpose of Santiam Christian Schools is to assist parents in the Christian training of their children by providing a Christ-centered academic environment that encourages the development of a Christian world-view emphasizing academic excellence, Christian character, responsible citizenship, and service to others.
The current Superintendent, Mr. Stan Baker, who has served faithfully for twenty-five years and overseen tremendous growth in both academic programs and enrollments, will retire at the end of the 2011-12 school year. We are actively searching for the next Superintendent to lead Santiam Christian Schools into the future.
